How will the new Port Mann Bridge change your commute?

I, like many Surrey residents, commute to Vancouver 5 days a week and I use the Port Mann Bridge almost exclusively. The new bridge is scheduled for completion later this year which will undoubtedly reduce congestion along Highway 1. Translink would have us believe that most commuters who use the old bridge will happily pay a toll to use the new one but the Golden Ears Bridge has proven that may not be the case.

This leaves me wondering what my fellow Fraser Valley commuters are planning to do when the tolling starts. Will you pay the toll and take the new Port Mann, will you use an alternate toll-free bridge or tunnel or will you make the switch to transit?

We would love to hear from you, please leave a comment at the bottom of this post or respond on Twitter to @SurreyIsTheBomb.
